Über 30 Jahre Erfahrung
Seit 1990 bin ich als freiberuflicher Übersetzer tätig, seit 1997 für die saarländischen Gerichte vereidigt. Ich bin an fast allem interessiert und übersetze Texte aus vielen Gebieten.
Meine Arbeit umfasst Firmen-Websites, Pressemitteilungen, technische Berichte, Bedienungsanleitungen und Pflichtenhefte, allerlei Verträge, Urkunden und Zertifkate, AGB, Datenschutzerklärungen, Konzern-Newsletter, Geschäftskorrespondenzen und E-Mail-Verkehr. Außerdem Artikel über die Rechtsprechung (z.B. im Produkt-haftungsrecht), soziopolitische Evaluationsberichte (inkl. zweier Sachbücher), Lebensläufe und Bewerbungsunterlagen, Führungszeugnisse, Auszüge aus dem Handelsregister u.v.a.m..
Mittlerweile bin ich gewissermaßen auf Arztberichte, Krankenakten und dergl. spezialisiert, weil dies ein Gebiet ist, für das ich mich schon immer stark interessiert habe.
Während ich einerseits recht viel Arbeit im militärtechnischen Bereich verrichten durfte, war ich andererseits schon in der Übersetzung von Texten für Museums-ausstellungen und derlei tätig. Im belletristischen Raum habe ich etwa einen historischen Roman sowie ein Theater-drehbuch in voller Länge übersetzt.
More than 30 years of experience
I have been working as a freelance translator since 1990, and have been sworn in to interpret and translate for the courts of Saarland since 1997. I am interested in just about everything and translate texts from many different fields.
My work includes corporate websites, press releases, technical reports, instruction manuals and specifications, doctor's websites, contracts and certificates of all kinds, standard terms and conditions, privacy policy statements, group newsletters, business correspondences by letter and e-mail, articles on case law (e.g. in product liability), socio-political evaluation reports (including two books on evaluation), CVs and job application material; certificates of good conduct, excerpts from the commercial register and much more.
I have now come to specialise to some extent in medical reports and files, because that has always been an area of great interest for me.
While on the one hand I have been entrusted with a fair amount of work in the military technology sector, I have also been active in the translation of texts for museum exhibitions and suchlike. In the literary sphere I have translated a historical novel and a full-length theatre script.
